About Me
Hi again! I’m Alan (He/Him), a queer, Latino therapist licensed in New York and working at The Sexuality, Attachment, and Trauma Project (SAT Project) in NYC. I offer individual, couples and group therapy!
My journey to becoming a therapist was a complicated one. During my undergrad, I worked towards becoming an actor and then a playwright. When I graduated, I worked in entertainment up until the pandemic. I was struggling with who and what I wanted to be and was motivated to explore the world of social work when I saw how bad mental health was for so many of the people around me. I started working for a homeless outreach team and instantly knew that this was the field I wanted to work in.
When I’m not working as a therapist, I enjoy playing video games, going to the gym, and playing board games or going out with friends.
